1. **Pressure Test Time Selection In Summer**

When pressure testing is carried out in summer, midday or afternoon hours should be avoided. This is because the PE material is easy to absorb the heat in the air, resulting in the water temperature inside the pipe rising to about 50℃. Therefore, when testing pressure in a high temperature environment, the test pressure should be adjusted according to the actual water temperature to ensure safety.

2. **Scope Of Application**

PE pipe for water supply is mainly used for conveying cold water and is not suitable for use as hot water pipe. Normally, the water temperature should not exceed 60℃ so as not to affect the pipe service life.

3. **Preparation Before Pressure Test**

Pressure test must be completed prior to construction,to check the strength and airtightness of the piping,to avoid greater damage due to piping leakage. Direct backfilling or concealed laying without pressure testing will increase the difficulty and cost of subsequent maintenance.

4. **Pipe Connection Method**

It is not suitable to use expansion joints or pipe hoop connection, because the PE water pipe wall is thin, easy to form a vacuum when rainstorms, which may lead to pipe deformation or even burst. The correct connection method can effectively avoid such problems.

5. **Avoid Flat Flares**

Due to the large angle of the flat flare of the PE pipe for water supply, it is more difficult to fully insert the flat flare bottom, which may cause leakage at the connection. This risk can be reduced by choosing the right connection.

6. **Welding Temperature Control**

The welding temperature of PE pipe for water supply pipe should not be too high. At high temperatures, the material may degrade or carbonize, affecting the structural integrity and long-term service of the pipe.

In summary, the above points are common misunderstandings and precautions in the construction process of PE pipe for water supply. Construction personnel should be flexibly adjusted according to the specific environmental conditions, to ensure the project quality, to extend the service life of the pipeline.
